9 Things an Anti-wrinkle Injectable Can Do

#1 - Soften your jawline and chin:

Grinding your teeth can make your jawline wider over time; cosmetic physicians can inject an anti-wrinkle injectable into the area, which aims to shrink the muscle and narrow the jawline. The results, which last for about a year, could also have other positive effects, like making your cheeks appear more lifted and relieving the pain and soreness that can result from teeth grinding.

#2 - Tighten jowls:

If your jawline has become less defined, a little anti-wrinkle injectable along the muscles of the jawbone can often pull the skin up for a crisp, defined effect.

#3 - Lift your lips:

Dermal fillers aren't the only way to fake voluminous, youthful-looking lips. A cosmetic physician can also inject tiny drops of anti-wrinkle injectable along the upper lip border in order to roll the top lip up and out slightly, which often makes it appear plumper.

#4 - Smooth your neck:

Horizontal wrinkles may be temporarily erased with what some cosmetic physicians call a "Botox necklace." Tiny amounts are injected into the muscles above and below the lines, all the way around the neck; when they relax, the skin should look smoother. Neck muscles can start to enlarge and protrude as we age, resulting in the appearance of thick, tight cords. And if that didn't already sound bad enough, the muscles in the neck and the superficial muscles of the face are connected to one another, so the neck can sometimes pull the rest of your facial features forward. An anti-wrinkle injectable might be a consideration to assist in creating a smoother neck. Relaxing the neck muscles assists in softening wrinkles, minimising the cords, and potentially lifting the face. Basically, it's a nonsurgical face-lift. Keep in mind though that anti-wrinkle injectables break down every three to four months, so repeat visits will be necessary.

#5 - Youth-ify your décolleté:

With age (and sun exposure), lines can develop between the breasts for some women. To help smooth them out, a cosmetic physician can inject anti-wrinkle injectable into the pectoral muscles.

#6 - Stop migraines:

Whilst it's not totally understood how an anti-wrinkle injectable works for migraines, the theory is that it blocks the pain signals being sent to the brain and that it relaxes the muscles in the head so they're not as sensitive to pain. In this case, a cosmetic physician – in conjunction with a neurologist - would inject anti-wrinkle injectable into the forehead, temples, and scalp. A treatment such as this is only suggested for patients who have frequent migraine attacks that aren't improving appropriately with traditional migraine medications.

#7 - Calm excessive sweating:

Cosmetic physicians and dermatologists can use an anti-wrinkle injectable to treat hyperhidrosis (medically diagnosed excessive sweating) by injecting the area—say, the underarms, palms or even the soles of the feet. The results can be significant. It is generally recommended only for people who have tried clinical-strength and prescription antiperspirants with no success and for those people who are suffer debilitating outcomes from the condition.

This usage has been approved by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) provided several conditions are met.

#8 - Mimic a nose job:

Around age 40, your nose can begin to sag and become more hooked, which can make your whole face appear droopy; an anti-wrinkle injectable may help by lifting the nose and taking off years in about ten minutes. For this type of treatment, a cosmetic physician can inject the anti-wrinkle injectable at the base of the nose (between the nostrils), which aims to release the depressor muscle that pulls the nose downward, making the whole face appear more lifted.

#9 - Get a temporary face-lift:

Anti-wrinkle injectables, thoughtfully placed at certain points in the face - such as jaw, tip of the nose, and around the eyes and forehead – can help re-sculpt the face, providing a temporary face lift.
